About 370,000 will have a new and recurrent MI. * Approximately 9.1 million men alive today have some form of CHD * One in three adults has hypertension (High Blood Pressure) * Approximately 54 million women and 48 million men alive today have high blood cholesterol and other lipids. * Obesity, which is a chronic issue among children today that has been shown to be a factor in heart disease * The occurrence of High Blood Pressure among children is increasing. * Nearly 33 percent of cardiovascular disease deaths occur in people before the age of 75.
